Title translates roughly to "Croation Folk Embroidery, the Patterns of Northern Croatia: A Manual for Women's Traditional Handwork." Includes diagrams for stitches used. Charts and drawings for borders, insertions, corners, all-over patterns - many in multiple colors, for cross-stitch, pattern darning, brick stitch, double running, counted satin stitch; freehand/surface embroidery in satin, chain and outline stitch; eyelet embroidery and simple cutwork with mesh fillings; darned needle lace insertions; block-defined withdrawn thread work that looks related to Hardanger; intricate needle lace bands; darned mesh (filet) or filet crochet; knitted edgings. Photos of some stitched pieces, showing traditional use of colors.
