Donate now to support the Antique Pattern Library project to pay for database and website development, web and other virtual world hosting costs, data entry, scanning equipment, book storage, shipping costs and customs fees. We do not collect books, but we do take possession of donations temporarily until we can get them scanned. Then they go off to museums and libraries where they can be properly preserved, or back to the book owners.

Scan donations count too! They save us room for the books, money for shipping and customs duties, and time for scanning. Please contact us for more information.

There is no limit on donation amounts. We cannot issue tax receipts at this time, but are expecting final licensing from Canada Revenue Agency in a few months.

We are looking for people who can afford a one-time larger donation to support our needs for the coming year. Donations will help speed up our publication rate, and make more time available for the actual library work, which is sadly suffering, because we have to spend more time than we like on bookkeeping and government compliance. Necessary, but it cuts into the time we have for the Library. Your donations will help us hire help for the chores.

If you can't afford to give anything, introducing the Library to people who don't know of it yet, is very helpful! It broadens our user base and therefore our donor base.

Your donation will serve to keep the Library afloat. To give you an idea of what your donation would do: CAD 20 (USD 15) pays for our hosting costs for a month. CAD 135 (USD 100) pays for 1TB backup for the scans and edited files for a year. We currently have 60 TB data in physical and cloud storage media. Larger donations in the past have paid for fast A3 scanners, website help, and hours of editing.

FYI, most books we buy are paid out of our private purses, which are not exceedingly well-filled but largely still up to that task.
