Slipper with peacock

Musée des Familles

Litho. Supplement of the Musée des Familles, a French periodical published between 1833 and 1900. A woolwork pattern for a slipper, left and right a sprig of flowers (looks symmetrical but is not so) and the center design a peacock sitting on a railing between a bush and an urn. The peacock is charted in petit point, the remainder of the slipper in gros point. Some print errors.

Donated, edited and charted by Sytske Wijnsma.
